Artist's Description

The Bald Eagle
The North American Eagle is the USA National Bird.
It is a symbol of strength, they do not fear or run from the storm. Eagles allow the powerful current to lift them above the storm. Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. We must fly above the problems presented to us on earth and let the power of God give us the strength to face whatever comes our way and not grow weary or tired. By the eagle’s strength of its powerful wings, it could carry quite a load with its feet and frequently was seen doing this.
In Psalm 103, verse 5, a habit connected with the eagle’s molting process describes the rejuvenation that is possible for all who place their faith and their trust in God, and then the unusual strength of the eagle as far as her ability to last in long flights is concerned, is used by Isaiah to illustrate the enduring strength that is made possible for all believers in Isaiah. Their are spiritual lessons and illustrations that we can draw from the eagle. The first spiritual lesson that we may learn from the habits of the eagle is an illustration of deliverance and redemption. The second is not in our own strength, you realize that deliverance is divine.
Ps 103:5 is a reference to the long life of the eagle. The bird has been known to live to an astonishing age in captivity; under natural conditions, the age it attains can only be guessed.
“Who satisfies thy desire with good things, So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle.
The bird watchers in the Bible observing the eagle were impressed with the strength of her wings and used them as an illustration for redemption in Exodus 19; 4, and in Revelation 12:14. They were impressed, likewise, with the swiftness of the flight of the eagle and used it as an illustration of the swift judgment of God upon those who were disobedient in Jeremiah 48: 40; Jeremiah 49: 22; Isaiah 8: 1; Jeremiah 4: 13; and Habakkuk 1:8. All of these are references to the swiftness of judgment. As the eagle flies swiftly to their prey, so does the judgment of God come. Each one of these verses has a little different flavor to it, so it isn’t empty repetition.
When the biographies of both Saul and Jonathan were being written in II Samuel 1: 23, the swiftness of the eagle was used as an illustration of their prowess as warriors.
You have heard of the bald eagle. The bald eagle is called a bald eagle not because he has no feathers on his head, as men have no hair on their head when they are bald, but because the feathers on the eagle’s head are white; and at a distance, it gives the appearance of baldness—hence the name, bald eagle . The baldness of the eagle was used by Micah 1: 16, to describe the devastating judgment that God was going to bring on disobedient people. Micah said, “Your baldness will increase as the baldness of the eagle.”
Some of the main qualities and traits of the eagle & how their qualities and traits perfectly line up with what God would like to have worked into our personalities so we can all learn how to become good and mighty soldiers of Jesus Christ. I believe this analogy to be an extremely powerful and profound analogy, and that it fully applies to each and every Christian.
• The wings of the eagles represent our faith and belief in God
• The wind the eagles fly on.. rising currents of warm air and up-drafts.. represent the Holy Spirit
Their beak …The Hebrew word nesher, meaning "to tear with the beak, "We can tear down and demolish strongholds with divine power. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord. (Zechariah 4:6)

The anointing of God is the power of the Holy Spirit flowing and operating through us to accomplish what God wants us to do for Him in this life. It is God’s power flowing and operating through us, not our own power. Our power is weak and limited, but God’s power is pure and absolute.

United We Stand with peace through strength.

Painted in watercolor on 9×12″ watercolor paper.
