The Vision of the Three Horses

Zechariah 1: 8 Behind him were three horses, one red, one brown and one white.
What are these he asks? The angel of God spoke to him and said
“ I will show you what they are and mean?”
Horses signify divine justice & power.

The horses are angelic messengers, sent by God to go through the earth.
Red horses signify War & Blood.
Brown or black horses signify famine, plague and death.
White horse signifies victory and triumph over the enemy.

As the evil & arrogant people from Babylonia felt rested & secure, their judgment was coming due. The Lord God was against them for their rebellious ways, their lies, treachery and theft not to mention their bad treatment of His people.
God’s people would be vindicated.

Zech 2:8-9 For this is what the Lord Almighty says, After he has honored me & has set me against the nations that have plundered you—-for whoever touches you the apple of my eye –I will surely raise my hand against him so that there slaves will plunder them. Then you will know the Lord Almighty has sent me.
:11 many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become one people.
Then you will know the Lord Almighty has sent me.

God had his plans to take care of all his people. (all those who chose to listen to God)

Zech 3:7 If you walk in my ways and keep my requirements then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts and I will give you a place among these standing here.

God had his plan, the plan of sending a savior, his son Jesus Christ.

Zech 3 :8-10 Listen O high priest Joshua and your associates …….these men are symbolic of things to come…… and I will remove the sin of this land in one day.

Zech 4: 6 “ Not by might or by power but by my Spirit” says the Lord Almighty.

God showed Zechariah that even though he did not posses the royal power as King David or Solomon did he would complete the task God had given him to do.
God provided him Spirit ennoblement.

We to must have the faith in the Power of God’s Spirit enablement that we received through the work of Jesus Christ. We must continue to preserve and stand for God for He is the master of circumstances and He will provide for His people.
