Whispers From the Sea

I walk along the beach, watching the waves crash down,
I feel all alone, I can’t here a sound,
A small voice is heard through the winds soft blow,
I’ve heard it before, a long time ago,
The soft gentle breeze carries the words to my ear,
The very same words I’ve been longing to hear.
His grace falls down for my shoudlers to bare,
What precious glory he gives though his care.
We know who he is, we know what he’s done,
He’s given a gift, the gift was his son.
The ocean is seen, with a man walking about,
I feel so afraid I just want to shout.
But his father gives me courage to walk out to him,
And I walk through the water as it cools down my skin.
Suddenly he’s there speaking so free,
For I knew in an instant, he was calling to me.
The oceans soft waves were silent to hear,
A peace just came over me, I had nothing to fear.
For the man stood before me with robes of white,
And oh how my heart was just full of delight.
Suddenly the beach didn’t seem all that lonely,
Cause his footprints where there guiding me slowly.
Now I walk down the beach feeling so free,
Knowing God and his son will always be with me.
