Artist's Description

Original Ink Drawing by Anita Inverarity

Eir holds a special place in Norse Mythology as the master Physician to the Gods. Another in my Nordic series. I think she is on a mission to collect healing herbs for her portions (the watchful squirrel is another character from Norse Mythology who will find his way into a new artwork soon). I imagine Odin has been a difficult patient as he likes to live on Mead alone & doesn’t like taking his medicine.
The runic symbols mean Good Health & Balance and the Lunar symbol on her necklace means femininity- like all good doctors I think she has an excellent bedside manner mixed with a firm approach :) Her quartz wand helps to intensify the healing.
