Hope you are enjoying the Spring. There are lots of new shows to tell you about this month and I hope you will manage along to see some of them if you are local. Many are accessible online too. On the drawing board just now I have several projects including this years big exhibition at Moray Art Centre in the summer (so excited about this location) and the always highly anticipated Gallery Heinzel Summer Show.

March has flew in and the weather has been so nice here- The longer days make everything a bit easier. Hope you are having a good spring so far.

Happy New Year Everyone- I hope it has been a good start for you so far
I have a busy 2017 lined up and look forward to sharing new & exciting projects with you soon. Right now I am working on two big shows for this year including a duet with US artist Tammy Mae Moon again- this time at Moray Art Centre, Findhorn-in the summertime. Also I have been writing writing and writing more, for my Oracle Deck and book with US Games Systms Inc. So grateful and honoured to be invited to do both these very different projects which are also entwined on my current art journey in so many ways. We also have our gallery space coming together at the new house, very excited to share my passion for presenting so much creativity.

I paint faeries, elves and mermaids… I mostly use watercolours as my medium on Arches Hot Press paper – usually the hefty 300gsm, but whatever I can get otherwise. Lately I have been gravitating back towards acrylics, they seem to be that bit more forgiving than watercolours…

Heather Rose is a conceptual portrait artist from New England, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Montserrat College of Art. Specializing in dark and surreal figurative work, she creates bizarre worlds with a touch of sensuality. She works mostly in either acrylic or ink and graphite, but dabbles in everything from silkscreen printing to studio photography.

Heather’s paintings have appeared in galleries and private collections throughout the world. Her work has been published in several magazines, such as Catapult, The Pulse, and Meat for Tea; and was featured on a billboard in Times Square in 2012.

Anita Inverarity resides in the rural north east of Scotland- currently in the process of renovating an old Farmhouse into a home, workspace and viewing gallery. She describes her art as “Universal Folk” heavily borrowing from folk art, fairy tales and fables to thread a mystical dance through the old traditions of the northern hemisphere. The highly detailed pen work drawings have been exhibited extensively in the UK and international venues, which celebrate illustrative fine art and pop surreal genres.
