Artist's Description

The monument and pavilion are at the highest point of Nazareth. A graveyard that includes some native Americans and a false legend about it being a watch tower for Indians (that had already been “removed” by the time the original pavilion were built) gave this structure its name. Nazareth is known as the Barony of the Rose because William Penn family’s Tax payment of a single rose every June 24th.
