Artist's Description

Cawfield Quarry lies along Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland, the starting point for Cawfield Crags. It was the source of the rocks used to build part if the wall that runs 73 miles west in Cumbria to east Newcastle upon Tyne. It was the built by the Roman Army occupying England during Hadrian’s reign as Roman Emperor.
I experimented post processing with graduated filters in Lightroom. The start if our day was sunshine and cloud, and we were fist in the car park. This was the end of our stroll when it became grey and overcast and about to rain.
