To the Moon~ Percy Bysshe Shelley

Art thou pale for weariness
Of climbing heaven and gazing on the earth,
Wandering companionless
Among the stars that have a different birth,
And ever changing, like a joyless eye
That finds no object worth it’s constancy?

Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822)

I love this poem by Shelley, which I personally feel speaks of the loneliness we all feel at times, not fitting in with others, wondering if we may be from another planet. Loneliness has a certain beauty however. It allows us to get in touch with our inner self, our own healing energy, and become one with nature, strengthening our spirit with its infinite beauty. ~Angie Davies
