The Tufted Titmouse is a small bird, sparrow sized (6") with a call sounding like Peter-Peter repeated over and over. Titmice are social birds and, especially in winter, join with small mixed flocks of chickadees, nuthatches, kinglets, creepers, and the smaller woodpeckers. It often clings to the bark of trees and turns upside down to pick spiders and insects from the underside of a twig or leaf.

This little fellow was at my feeder this morning so I decided to add him to my watercolor collection of birds.
