Artist's Description

Mousehole hasto be one of the loveliest and most picturesque of Cornwall’s fishing villages.

It was made even more famous by the enchanting story and illustration named The Mousehole Cat , which tells of a fisherman’s cat who sails out on a perilous journey with her master to catch fish for the starving villagers during winter storms. ‘Mouser’ the cat must sing to the Great Storm Cat of the sea to plea for a safe passage home to port.

You can buy the book or DVD from most internet shops. A Magical tale for adults and children alike.

This was taken on a calm high tide ,early on a sunny morning in May. The calm and serenity of the scene and the gentle sound of lapping waves made for a perfect visit whilst most of the world was still in its bed :-)
