Artist's Description

An up close photo of the pillars to one of the older and prized buildings on Galveston island. It was originally a bank, then a museum, but I have not seen it open sense hurricane Ike. Galveston island is home to the United State’s largest natural disaster, the great storm of 1900, the mysterious and haunting past is alluring but often over looked by the population as headlines such as Titanic took over, though undervalued and underscored, this sleepy gulf coast island is waking up and people are starting to rekindle its famous Victorian past as the original Wall Street of the South.
