Artist's Description

is a small and secluded fishing village and civil parish tucked in the corner of Fife on the east coast of Scotland. Pittenweem is currently the most active of the fishing ports in the East Neuk coast of Fife. Gyles House was built in the 17th century for Captain James Cook who took Charles II to France after his defeat at the battle of Worcester in 1651.
