Divine

The drums sound
To deafen all around
A gathering of men
All of a mind to bring justice
To the poor

Divine Majesty
Is no excuse,
For lavishness
Is mediocracy
Justice will be done
In the years to come

The clarion call
An unbreakable wall
A wall of men
Marches again
The cannons roar
Outside the walls
The last bastion
About to fall

Hardened men
Regale again
Their powder dry,
Their battle cry
On deaf ears fall
Divine Majesty ignores the call

Silence….
The the cheering starts
The last battle is over
No divine intervention
Could save the Divine
What of the poor
Has anything changed?
In the eyes of the masses
They are only rearranged

Divine
