The Casting of The Hollows

In a chance was savored
A misfortune that seems follows
Some deep seeded love that went wasted..
..(Dwelled inside a bitter doze).
A hollow density
Thus replaced the heart…
…(Goodbye to my serenity,
We now thus lay apart!)
Yet, in the severity
Of any or every reaction,
None were far so aching denser
Than the hurt found in your commemoration,…
…(If love had struck me tender
Perhaps this lines and composition
Would surely by now differ).
An irony is gazing how love gave birth to all
And how a second seemed to go on forever;
Now, the inch of just that thrill
Was a higher step from which I fell
Far deep inside a heartless space.
(No love inside it’s walls
Nor sympathy to give grace)
In me runs a wooded forest
Darker that the feathers of ten crows;
Even so, I can’t resist the casting of those hollows,
the ones fate never gently swallows,
As I leave you in my past
And move along without your woes.

Artist's Description

I wrote this poem when I was in great need of getting over a great love. For me, there can be a possitive side about love and lost, which lies within moving on and leaving anything behind. Like this poem, regardless of the bad heartbreak can be at times, there’s a bewitching spell about letting things just be.
