Artist's Description

Part of the Barrow Navigation, which was a working canal up until the late 1960’s enabling barges to go from New Ross to Dublin. Grain was transported North to make Guinness, which was then transported South. The tow-path on the right hand bank is known as the Barrow Line, which an uninterrupted trail of 25Km from St Mullins in the South to Athy in the North.
