Artist's Description

Unknown fungi, somewhere in the Tarkine Wilderness, western Tasmania, Australia.

The Tarkine is the second largest temperate rainforest in the world, and the largest temperate rainforest in Australia, with over 400,000 hectares of virgin wilderness.
New species are being discovered all the time in this unique area, and it is thought that a full inventory of fungi in the Tarkine “will likely take decades or more” (theconversation.com).

Nikon D70s w/18-70mm AF-S Nikkor lens.

Minimal editing done with Apreture.

Half of all profits from my artwork sales through this website are donated to the “Save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal”. To find out more about the disease and how you can help, please visit www.tassiedevil.com.au
