Artist's Description

A Little Bit of Intrigue… still surrounds an elegantly dressed lady riding side-saddle. The art of side-saddle riding is growing in popularity again all around the world, and has been actively promoted in New Zealand since the formation of the New Zealand Side Saddle Association in 1981.
A very short clip of D-Pax sitting on Chickadee… A little bit of fun to make you smile for the day…

Sitting aside dates back to antiquity and developed in European countries in the Middle Ages as a way for women in skirts to ride a horse in a modest fashion while also wearing fine clothing. It has retained a specialty equestrian niche even in the modern world.
When Chickadee was a tiny little fluff ball she shared a bed with D-Pax.. in the morning I would find Chikadee sitting on the Dove’s back… I guess the tables have turned for these two little orphans who have been lovingly adopted by Tranquillity… Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 Southland New Zealand
