Artist's Description

film image taken with my Nikon 2020 in the early 90’s.

My aunt use to work in the WTC – twin tower – when the building first was erected. She was with the NY Dept of Labor. I use to visit her frequently and enjoyed the panoramic views of NYC from her bosses office.

When it was first built, I thought that it was such a plain boxy building. As time went on, I began to appreciate its subtle intricacies. I love these forks shooting up in the sky. I also loved seeing the towers, the double exclamation points, as I was getting ready to land at JFK. It seemed to say “welcome to NY!!”
