Artist's Description

Top Ten, number 4 in the Red, Blood Red Challenge, Halloween group, 15-Dec-2012

My daughter took this photo of me in Lizzy Borden’s House in late August 2007. I must have been out of my mind – I still can’t believe it. I sat on the divan that resembles the one that Andrew Borden was found murdered on. The axe in my hand is very similar to the one they think did the dastardly deed. This axe was found on the property when they were doing renovations of the backyard and barn.

I used ribbet.com to add a bloody texture and used red tint on the wall and rug. I also applied a Victorian woman ghost from their ghost stock just for fun.

Hope you like the result. In retrospect, I doubt very much I would sit on the divan and hold that axe and SMILE today….
