Artist's Description

I found some feral cats yesterday [June 14th, 2012] after my doctor appt. very upsetting. My doctor has her office behind the hospital, when I drove up to park I saw a small cat sitting on top of the dumpster at the top of the hill at the back of the parking lot. after my appointment I went to investigate. there are about 7-8 white and tabby and tiger tabby cats – all teenager kitten age –around 5-7 months old back there. if they were part of a colony there would be all ages of cats – they are all the same age or close of age so I am guessing someone DUMPED them there. they are gorgeous – and so scared.

This is the runt of the litter looks like she has a sore in her mouth. She was the last to come out to get something to eat and kept looking up at me as she ate, almost to say thank you.

I went back that night and last night [June 15, 2012] to give them fresh water and feed them. This photo was taken last night the 15th – I feel SO bad for them because they are gorgeous and sweet and have such a hard life. No cat deserves this. It makes me angry that people assume cats can fend for themselves in the wild.

Most of the photos are not as good as I would like because I can’t get that close to them and have to zoom in but this one was one of the better ones. You can see how beautiful she is.
