Artist's Description

I know there is a joke that there are so many historic places that claim George slept there, he would have had to spend every day just sleeping. However, this bedroom was used by George during the Revolutionary War in the USA. This room is on the 2nd floor of the Dey Mansion in Wayne NJ. The home played an intricate role in the American Revolution. Built by Dutch settlers in the middle of the 18th century it served as Washington’s Headquarters on several occasions during the war. The Mansion is a museum in current time and most of the original wood frames and floors, along with some of the original furniture and art work still exist.
