Artist's Description

Before Barbie there was Little Miss Revlon and Miss Revlon. The Little Miss Revlon Doll is 10 1/2 inches tall. Miss Revlon comes in 16 inches, 18 inches and 22 inches tall. And I think she is gorgeous!

I have a 10 1/2 inches tall Little Miss Revlon, pictured here in a wooden chair. She is so delicate and lovely. I also have the larger size, 18 inches. Growing up in the 50s I remember thinking that this doll was the most beautiful doll I had ever seen. Her eyes open and close and the eye balls are glass. Her middle swivels so she has a waistline and can turn and bend. Her legs and arms are also hinged so they are moveable. She is stunning I think. More in proportion to a real life woman.

YES I did eventually get Barbies and yes I loved them, but there is something special and magical about a Miss Revlon doll, don’t you think?

Dedicated to my mother who graciously and lovingly found and bought me my first Miss Revlon doll, and who was also a true beauty.
