Taken at the Paterson Museum, Paterson NJ USA

beautiful old antique fire “truck”. It is a large metal tank that probably held the water and was pulled by horses. Not sure if this was a working lamp or just an ornament designed to sparkle in the sun light – but it is at the top of the water tank on the wagon, so probably designed to be some kind of alert or symbol like our modern day flashing lights.

Beautiful wagon – not sure what year it is from but probably from the late 1800s. Looks VERY heavy to me – can’t imagine horses or men pulling this full of water.
