She spelled it “Gee Ma”, which was phonetically correct.
I just said “Yo GMa!”
This orchid is in full bloom on her patio. It has been for over 3 weeks, and this photo was taken when it first started to bloom, shortly after the first of December. It’s a wonder that this and her Cymbidiums are setting blooms in the middle of Winter, but our weather is so mild that they thrive here.
She enjoyed this orchid immensely before she passed away on Christmas morning.
Funny thing: With the snowy white cap, the colorful heart, the open and embracing petals, and the overall “uniqueness” of the flower, it’s an absolutely perfect image with which to pay tribute to my favorite person ever.
I LOVE YOU, Gma!! I’ll see you again when the stars fall from the sky . . .
