Nightmare or Not

I am running from the fire in the forest. I look down and notice a huge piece of wood is imbedded in my left leg and then I feel the pain shoot up through my leg. I find the strength to continue to run. I fall again and now notice my right leg is on fire. While I am screaming from the almost unbearable pain I manage to remove my shirt and wrap it around my burning leg and start smoothing the fire out. I get up again and continue to run. I am running faster and I am getting further away from the fire. Both of my legs are in pain. I fall again and break my left arm; and my whole body starts to shake from the unbearable pain.

I hear someone is calling me and I start realizing the fire in the forest is just a nightmare. I tell myself not to wake up, do not wake up, but the person keeps calling me and telling it is time for a bath. I wake to see the female nurse giving a male quadriplegic a bed bath. I am he. I have been in this bed for 5 years and have felt no sensation in my body during those years. I hope after the nurse is done with my bath; I can go back to sleep and continue my dream of my body being able to feel again, even though that feeling is such agonizing pain.
