Psychotics VS Rat Pack

Well I was lucky enough to attend another bout of Roller Derby last weekend 25/7/10 This particular bout was a semi final with loads of action to be had.

A big crowd was in attendance at the Corio Leisure Centre in Geelong and everyone had a fantastic time.

This is just a snippit of what I was lucky enough to see on the day.

BMX Session @ Waurnponds Skate Park Geelong.

Monday 31st May 2010 first day off in a long time where I had nothing planned. I thought I would take a trip down to the south west coast of Victoria and crack out my big lens for some surfing shots. Well with a south easterly wind and not a lot of swell I think I saw 2 guys in the water and not much happening.

On the way home I thought I would swing by the Waurnponds skate park near Geelong.

I struck it lucky with these guys having a bit of a session. So instead of getting to use my big lens I ended up using the fisheye and some off camera flash. It pays to take everything!!!!

Some people I know

On sunday 11th Jan 2010 Margaret had organized a trip to the city (Mel) with members of the Geelong Throng and both the Corio Bay & Geelong camera clubs.…

The subject was architecture in mono. So with that in mind one or two of us were set another challenge and that was to capture a couple of people shots of our groups.

As you can imagine it was a very serious event and I thought I would share some of those serious moments with everyone.

Ellenor is my lens clean?

John I have already done that with Ellenor

Yan (apologies if spelt incorrectly)

Paul we are supposed to be shooting Architecture!

Look its a bird! No its a plane……..

Ellenor has found a good shot

Sue looking for her next shot

Christmas Drinks

Well It is the season to be jolly! So I thought it would be a good idea to have a few drinks with some new friends I have made from the Geelong Throng over the last year or so. These are a few images that were caught in the three minutes that I actually had my camera out of the bag. We managed to view 10 of each of the Throngers favorite images and I have to say how lucky we are to have such talented people as members of the Geelong Throng
