Artist's Description

The Stanley Parakeet, never looked better when Edward Lear drew it’s image in the form of a bontanical illustration in 1832. Now part of the public domain I have fallen love with all of his bird drawing, and hesitated to even change a single line. Why disturb perfection, but alas I set a goal of updating it and taking it beyond the botanical style.

The Stanley Parakeet was created by illustrating the background setting and infusing fractals through both the bird and the background.

This is a digital rendering and was created in the following programs CS6 (compiling) custom PS digital brushes, Artmatic 5 (fractal generation) and onOne picture perfect (special effects and finishing)
