Artist's Description

I was angry because this swan seemed to be stalking and chasing me. I yelled at him and called him mean names, and at one point when I was not quite fast enough and he beaked me in the backside, i splashed him with my iced water. I did not understand why he was so angry, It was like he could see me across the lake and would come towards me at full throttle and honk and try to bite me.
When I was looking through my shots of the day, and doing my editing, I decided on the shots of this guy I would pull out all of the colors except for the red (to highlight his red beak) It took me a minute to realize what I was seeing on his wings, and when I did shock and shame hit me at the same time. The poor guy had just had his wings clipped. I was shamed and angry with myself. I felt guilt for him being robbed of his ability to soar the skies and understood his anger. I may not take pictures of the swans again.
