Vein of Life

Swift waters, vein of Mother Earth
Bringer of life, nature’s birth
Coloured blooms of radiant spring
Along the banks of silken streams

Graceful trees reflected in liquid depths
Veins of life radiating out from Gaia’s breast
Wind singing praises through emerald leaves
Of Gaia’s glory beneath golden sunbeams

Rivers flowing forever toward Gaia’s heart of blue
Caressed by the hymns of whales as they are renewed
To travel back along Gaia’s gentle veins
Carrying hope, a love that never wanes

Coursing through mountains, meadows and plains
Falling down cliff sides, refreshed by the rain
Pulse of life, vigorous and strong
Pull of the tides, for her love they long

Gaia’s veins are the lifeblood, the source of light
Of all things that are beautiful and bright
Calling softly to the ears of the enlightened
Endless circle, no beginning and never an end
