Artist's Description

Digital art created in photoshop composed of 1005 my original photographs and utilising varying layer techniques. The prose beneath is what it was created to reflect.

Fissures

How harshly I feel this pain
That leaves invisible scars
Down the path of my faults
The earthquakes of guilt and fear
Making feckless limbs tremble
And exposes the underground streams
Of saltwater that shall not be dammed
Yet damned will be

How unbearably vain
To believe the cracks in the mortar
Were already lingering beneath
When the sledgehammer lays at my feet
No matter that it was painted gold
That the intentions were honest
It is not to heaven that road leads to
Where all the fools shall meet

I am not whom once I was
Yet still that memory
Burns deep inside of me
Weeping through the fissures
Left from the convulsing emotion
Trapped within this imperfect façade
Cracked and torn, weathered; worn
Bleeding brittle black petals
