Artist's Description

the moss on the track goes dry in summer
it takes just one good falling of rain to make it lush and green
so it will be when we are gone
the forest will take back the slope where the house stands
the trees will grow around and under and over
eucalypts will push through the floor and the roof
their canopies over the space where we slept
acacia blossoms will hang over our breakfast nook
birds will nest and sing in the branches
wallabies will graze underneath
will they remember us when we are gone
