Artist's Description

The Dia De Los Inocentes parade, featuring outrageous masks, costumes, skits and men in drag, began at Huayna Capac at Juan Jose Flores Jan 6/13 at 5pm and continued to the Museo Pumapungo at Calle Larga. This group of students had fabulous Avatar costumes and were very willing to pose. The background has been painstakingly changed. The parade attracted in excess of 25,000 spectators this year. This artwork is derived from a photograph taken in Cuenca, Ecuador, South America nestled in the Andes Mountains.
