In which Ivy Boy is Crazed

The first time we were trapped inside,
We gazed out the windows happily,
Humming to each other,
Your fingertips beating a complex tattoo on my shoulders,
Echoing the rain.
“I’ll be the raindrops,”
You said,
“If you’ll be my window, and let me look through you.”

Forever and a year, I’ll be whatever you crave.

The next time I wanted to stay inside,I turned on the shower gleefully,Laughed and stuck out my tongue to catch the water. You pulled me back, and shook your head,Irate that I acted like a child,“The water, it isn’t clean to drink,”You said,“What will happen if you get ill?”I didn’t understand, because we’re both already sick. The last time you were kept inside,You stomped around my room,While I laid in The Bed,Watching you pack, and not crying,Missing my John Doe already.“Damn airports!”You spat,“As soon as the storm is over, I’m out of here!”I begged he rain to never stop, because it meant you couldn’t leave me yet.
