The head of a teasel, seeds all dispersed. This one was approximately 7 feet tall. A thorny biennial. The spent seed heads are often seen in flower arrangements
They really do reach for the sky.

Thank you, Brenda. I grew these from wildflower seeds. Apparently they can be quite invasive. Will have to see what happens this year … hopefully won’t be taken over by them. :)
