This massive granite boulder seems to be balacing precariously on another at the very top of the Cranky Rock walk, near Warialda in North-West New South Wales.

The name Cranky Rock was derived from an old legend which said that an old ‘Cranky Chinaman’ jumped to his death from the highest point of the balancing rocks above this creek after being accused of some wrong doing.

Camera – Nikon D80; Lens – Tamron 28 – 300 VC

Three bracketed RAW images processed in Photomatix Pro 4.2
with finishing touches in Photoshop Elements 6.0.
