Built: 1912 Restored to: 1918

This thatched-roofed building is typical of the two-roomed barns built by early Ukrainian settlers. It resembled and functioned like animal shelters in Bukovyna, and was used to keep pigs and to stable horses, milking cows and steers. The barn was moved to the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village from the Makowichuk farmstead, in the South Kotzman district of east central Alberta.
