Venus

She walks the morn like a dewy drop
Her hair filtered with gold
Sparkles fill her wondering eyes
Revealing dreams untold
She walks the eve like a desert breeze
The sands blow hard and grim
Sphinx orbs gleam with happenstance
As she returns his stone cold stare
She walks the night like a moonlit glance
As echoes call out from the distance
The wind could not be colder
Nor the sun warmer
For in the day she was like a cloud
Soft and fluffy white
But in the dark hours she became the stars
Too far to reach the light
