Artist's Description

My husband and I love to visit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina whenever we can… On one of those trips, I stood horrified as I gazed downward from taking photographs of this beach paradise to find a beautiful mallard (duck) lifeless- tangled in fishermen’s line…

I cannot fathom the fear this amazing creature suffered at the end of its life due to simple human negligence.

When is the destruction going to be enough???

When will we stop during the hustle and bustle of our self-created busy-ness to consider what in the hell we are doing to help our environment rather than destroying it?

When is enough stuff enough? When will we get back to basics and realize that things are not our worth? When will we decide today is the day I will take a stand to protect those that cannot protect themselves from human waste? When will I stop supporting the selfish bastards that blacken our seas with oil and decide that the destruction stops with me?
