~ Rain Relief ~

Softly the gentle quietness woke me
the relief of water falling from the clouds
dampening the ground
wetting all around
you can hear the bush sigh
feel the earth sigh
know nothing more will die
tears of joy mingle with the raindrops on my face
seeing the happiness
the bliss
the grace
such is the wonder of rain in an arid land

Artist's Description

Another poem inspired by awesome Bubbler’s art.
This is Carlotta Peacock’s raining again

You do not know how valuable rain is to your life until you live in a ten year drought.
To all the struggling Aussie Bush Farmers
My heart is mindful of your plight and my life is grateful for your struggle!
I pray for rain for you for us all the time.
