Neptune’s Whisper

I don’t live here anymore
I’m just a ghost
In that big old house
Over there

And I walk
On the beach
At night
Alone

Neptune’s whisper
Calls me down
These steps
Leading into the ocean

And I swim –
Float away
From all that
I know

All that I’m
Secure with –
From all that
I’ve come to love

Neptune’s whisper
Beacons me away
From the love
That has long since vanished

These rocks may be
Rough on
My bare feet
But the pain is liberation

And the crashing waves
Will wash the shore
For love to grow once more –
Once I’m gone

I’ll just follow
Neptune’s whisper
To learn from his wisdom
And my mistakes.
