Artist's Description

Perched on most hill passes in Mongolia perches something called an Ovoo. Usually, a pile of rocks placed by travellers as offerings for local spirits, a custom that is said to pre-date Buddhism and Shamanism. It’s correct etiquette to circle the ovoo 3 times and leave something on the ovoo before continuing your journey.
