In 1994 I embarked on a 5 week trek through the Himalayas, and included in my trip a visit to the Fred Hollows Tilganga Eye Centre in Kathmandu. It was there that I photographed the work of the staff. I held a large scale exhibition of images from the Eye Centre, and my trekking adventure, in The Rocks in Sydney and The Photography Gallery of Western Australia in Perth. A percentage of the proceeds from sales went towards the Foundation.

In 1997, I was awarded the “Nikon/Panorama Showcase Photographer of the Year” for my portfolio of ten images. David Moore was on the judging panel and he commented that:
“These works have a unique quality and attitude and expression”
An exhibit of these images was shown at the domestic airports in Melbourne and Sydney.

I joined the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers and the Australian Commercial and Media Photographers in the late 90’s and was awarded silver and gold at state and national level, including making it into the ACMP’s Collection 4.

From 2002 to 2006 I was a founder, director and co-owner of Gallery Xposure, a progressive fine art photography gallery, situated in Inner West Sydney and offering exhibitions, rental space, curation services, photography courses and sales. In a short space of time we showed 68 photographers over 48 exhibition events.

In December 2006 I was nominated both the Fine Art and Sport categories of the Black and White Spider Awards. Judges included Magnum Photos, LIFE Magazine, Tate Gallery and VII Photo Agency.

In 2007 I started up Media and Imaging Solutions to further my commercial work in weddings, portraits and newspaper photography.
