Artist's Description

Heh the God of Time sits atop the symbol for gold, while holding notched palm fronds; used for marking time. His palm fronds rest on a tadpole sign for 100,000 atop the shen sign for the circle of the sun. Looped over his arm is an Ankh and over his head he wears a sun disc flanked by cobras hung with shen. As the God of Time, Heh (or Huh) is often portrayed with solar symbols to represent his jurisdiction over all the days of time.
He is flanked on either side by bouquets of blue lotus and papyrus to represent Upper and Lower Egypt. Based on a chair design from KV62 (Tutankhamun).
Date: 2012
Media: Sennelier ink and water colour on papyrus
