Artist's Description

A haiku is a (usually) unrhymed 17 syllable poem of Japanese origin. It often has a seasonal reference. The structure is:

line 1 – 5 syllables
line 2 – 7 syllables
line 3 – 5 syllables

These haiku have been placed on a photo taken in Ian’s back garden in Perth, Western Australia – a long way from Japan, but still a japanese feel to it.
