I am a visual artist working towards a BFA in photography. I have returned to college after losing my job in the recent recession. I am...

Wayne Young was born in Maryland and grew up in Central Pennsylvania in the Appalachians. He has lived in New Orleans and currently lives in Glendale, Arizona. He is earning an Associates in Fine Art from Glendale Community College with plans to pursue a BFA.

Wayne is a fine art photographer and painter. He has been interested in photography from an early age, and was carrying around a camera as early as eight. Wayne got his own camera when he was eleven. It was a Polaroid and Wayne started experimenting with film photography early on.

Wayne’s interest in painting emerged while pursuing his AAFA. He planned on painting only to fulfill the school’s requirements. However, Wayne discovered that he really enjoys painting and in his short time at Glendale Community College, he has worked hard and dedicated himself to learning painting and expressing himself through the medium.

Artworks produced by Wayne have been in the Glendale Community College Student Art Exhibitions. Additionally, his photography was published in Glendale Community College’s “The Traveler” literary magazine for spring 2016.
