Stolen Work

We’ve all heard about it and many of us have experienced it first hand like I have. Pinterest is an annoying bug bear but so far they removed everything of mine that I’ve asked them to. I’ve placed a copyright notice on my RB profile and in the short bio which can be seen when the description option is chosen and I’ve updated this to specifically mention Pinterest but it doesn’t make a difference and it probably never will.…

I’ve find my work on an Indian dating site that scraped images from all over. They too responded and did as asked. So did the Slovenian chat site once I used Google Translate so that I could locate the appropriate option for the Contact Us bit.

Now on my latest check I’ve found 2 flower images in Pinterest, several of my Classic Adelaide car images on,

River Life - Photographic Exhibition

October brings with it not only the promise of lengthening days and glorious sunshine without the stifling heat, it also brings the River Life photographic exhibition. Held over the October long weekend (Oct 2 – 4) at the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club in South Australia this exhibition is part of the Goolwa Alive festival being staged over the long weekend. All works are available for sale including my entry.…

Goolwa sits at the mouth of the Murray River and is home to many iconic South Australian favourites such as the Cockle Train, PS Oscar W (a paddle steamer) and the gateway to the Coorong. Earlier this year I entered my first images into the inaugural Rotary Photgraphic Art Exhibition @ Millicent. Now it’s time to have another go and see whether I can do better than a Merit Award.…

Run by Brunswick Street Gallery (surprisingly in Brunswick Street) in Fitzroy, Melbourne the exhibition will be on display from July 17 – 29. So if you’re in the region, why not pop on down to check it out. You never know you might even find me there if I can get a cheap flight.

Just in case you can’t make it to Melbourne then here are the two images that I’ve entered into the exhibition. Please, keep your fingers crossed f

Another first and boy am I happy

Last Friday my husband and I drove the 412 kilometres to Millicent for the Gala Opening of the Rotary Photographic Art Exhibition. A long way to go to view a photo exhibition but not so far when it is your first exhbition. I was keen to see the works from the other entrants and to learn as much as I could from the experience.…

So there I was stood in the Millicent Civic & Arts Centre with a glass of lovely Coonawarra red in one hand and the exhibition catalogue in the other listening to the announcement of the winning entries. First it is the Portrait category with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place announced. The winning portrait image is simply stunning and can be seen by all as it hangs on the display behind the announcer. A number of Merit Awards are also given before they move onto the next categ
