I’m an aspiring artist who was featured in Morgan Spurlock’s documentary “Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s...

My name is James Harvey. I’m named after Captain James Tiberius Kirk. My parents met at the planning committee for Trekon ‘76 in Kansas City. My brother Cris (named after Captain Christopher Pike) and I used to wait for the school bus in a replica TARDIS that my father built. We used to travel around the Midwest, hauling that blue box to every Dr. Who and Star Trek convention that would have us. Growing up I spent disproportionately more time with aging British sci-fi actors than other kids my age.

I was born and bred to be a geek.

Since I was old enough to hold a pencil I wanted to draw comics. In 3rd grade stapled homemade comics together and gave them away on the playground. At the moment little Brad Seiner told me I could draw The Flash well, I knew what direction my life would go.

Now after years of false starts and frustration I’m finally making the art I always dreamed. When I’m not working on my comic, I’m making the geek-themed paraphernalia that I never had as a kid.
You can follow me on Twitter, Tumblr and Deviant Art and Facebook to see more and get updates on the progress of my book.
Thank you very much for taking the time to look.
