Creativity can take many forms. I have recently started exploring three dimensional construction – although over time I am sure all types of creativity and innovation will shine through.

I have been so inspired recently by friends and colleagues and their creative approach, it has helped my develop this part of my life. As a youngster I would often be found driving my mothers’ sewing machine making all sorts of items, or sitting with a bundle of crayons and paper drawing.

I was trained as a textile designer at what is now Central St. Martins and my first job was a pattern checker for Emu and Robin Wools based in London. Not only did I become very familiar with how to construct knitting patterns I also designed a few and have had the pleasure of seeing some of my work in publications such as Women’s Realm. Now I am exploring different surface textures in collage, pen and ink, watercolour, guache and acrylic paints plus stitching techniques and applique.
