Jill Schiller creates original geometric artwork, by hand. As a kid she created her own code for the English alphabet using her doodles as symbols. Throughout high school and college she would “doodle” using some of her old code symbols as a starting point. At first these doodles were sketches for Ukrainian Psyanky eggs, but she soon found she preferred drawing her designs on a flat surface rather than an egg. In college, Jill began turning her pen and ink designs into cards for friends and family, which led her to name each design for the first person she made it for. These days Jill has expanded beyond pen and ink to include other mediums such as acrylic paint, and she of course still continues to doodle and draw new designs.
