Happy Halloween

I haven’t been around much here since the beginning of the haunted house season. I work as an SP/FX makeup artist, turning people into horrifying creatures through the use of cotton, latex, an airbrush, and lots of greasepaint and stage blood. My posts here have been few, but I have seen the comments. Thank you to the few who left nice comments, I appreciate it.
Here are a few photos from the haunted house featuring some of my makeup.

Days of the Dead - Feb, 2017 - Atlanta Sheraton Hotel, Atlanta, Ga

photos from the Atlanta Days of the Dead convention last month. These are the best photos I was able to get with my phone (remember, I didnt have my new battery charger yet, so couldnt use my Nikon)…

Me with actor PJ Soles (she was Riff Randall in “Rock and Roll High School,” Bill Murray’s g/f in “Stripes,” Lynda in the original “Carrie,” and Rob Zombie’s “Devil’s Rejects.”) She was SO nice we spent a lot of time chatting and now we’re FB friends. She is an absolute DOLL.

Me with Doug Bradley, the actor best known for his portrayal of Pinhead in the first 8 “Hellraiser” movies. Also, a super nice guy – no one was at his table so we also chatted for a good while. I had no idea he is a classically trained British Shakespearean actor with several art degrees. The man is brilliant.

Abstracts and digitals

I lost the charger for my Nikon battery so all the art I have been uploading has been abstract or digital for about 4 months. It’s definitely not my style, but I am having fun creating the patterns and kaleidoscopes from photos I already have. I have ordered a new battery charger and hopefully it will be here soon (coming from Hong Kong and was guaranteed delivery by the end of February.) Please bear with me as I fill my gallery, for the time being, with abstracts and patterns created with Corel, until I can actually get out and start taking photos again with a fully charged battery – and no, I couldnt find a store in the area that sold a charger for the battery I need – I looked – had to get it from Amazon….. I reeeeeeeally miss shooting. That charger cannot get here fast enough.

Huge Sale

Thank you so very very much to my dear friend Beth (we’ve been friends for 35 years!) for the largest single purchase sale I have EVER made in the 7-ish years I have been with Red Bubble. I am beyond overwhelmed/thrilled and honestly had to do a double take when I saw the amount of the sale and how many items you purchased. I hope all of the products you purchased – the totes, pillows, framed art, and the several other items – bring you as much joy as Magic brought into your life (and as much as you bring into mine). ♡♡♡♡♡

The images purchased were of Beth’s baby boy, Magic (an adorably sweet long haired Dachshundt) who recently crossed over the rainbow bridge. RIP Magic. Much love, always.

Here is a photo of me holding Magic during Christmas time, I think 3-4 years ago.

HERE’S TO 2016!

New Artist!

Please pay a visit to my good friend Vikki, who just joined Red Bubble and I would love to give her a hearty and warm welcome. She just started, but the work she already has in her gallery is gorgeous! Show some love and pay her a visit and show her that RB is a wonderful and friendly community!
HERE is her profile/gallery!
Thanks friends!

After changing the syrup in my feeder (the red dye is POISON to these little birds – please do not feed them the red stuff – make your own: 1 part sugar, 3 parts water, bird vitamin packet), the hummingbirds LOVE to come to Scott’s Place for a nice meal. I FINALLY was able to catch this little guy feeding and chasing away every other bird who wanted to feed – he was very territorial – this is HIS place- its very funny to watch them fight over who gets to eat. Not a great photo, but I am SO happy to have gotten this shot (sat out there for 30 minutes – out of 30+ shots, only 3 came out)
